The land of Chiusi della Verna wedges with a vast curve between Casentino and Valtiberina.
It includes many villages and it presents inside its land the most disparate morphological characteristics.
The heart of the municipial territory is "Penna mountain" together with the Verna Convent and the village of Chiusi.
The "Raw Stone" with its mass rules all Casentino and represents the sign of the valley thanking to its incisions, its fresco paintings.
The mountain is mainly composed by a rock of Arenaria Macigno which is a geological formation with marine origin and which forms the region skeleton.
